MISSION
STATEMENT
To train, support and equip
Christian young people to fulfill
the great commission given by
our Lord Jesus Christ.
|
| |
| |
THE
HARVEST TRULY
IS GREAT
BUT THE LABOURERS
ARE FEW!
|
|
TRAINING
Every young
person chosen for a Mission will be supplies with
training. The training will equip them
scripturally and spiritually to apply the
techniques of soul winning to their local church
as well as other host churches that ask for
assistance.
GUIDELINES
& RULES
As with any
venture, there must be guidelines and rules to go
by. These guidelines will cover the area of:
1.
Beginning on a Mission:
The host pastor
will locate the youth a home to stay in while at
their church. The youth will understand that they
will assist the church youth and the pastor in
winning souls.
|
|
3.
Length on a Mission:
The youth will
be sent out in groups of two, possibly three.
They will go out for a period of three to six
months, or one year. The length will be
determined by the youth and their parents and the
need of the host pastor and church.
4.
Relationships:
While these
young Missionaries are involved in a Mission,
they agree to practice celebacy in all aspects of
their lives. They are to be totally dedicated to
the service of the Lord.
5.
Ending a Mission:
When the
Missionary journey comes to an end, all
Missionaries are required to return to their home
church. They will not be coerced by anyone to
remain at the host church. Their journey has
ended and they must return home.
SUPPORT
"Commissioned"
needs your support. It will take a lot of hard
work, prayer, fasting and studying God's Word to
fulfill this great work that God has laid upon
our hearts. Please pray about this effort and how
you can contribute to it.
|
|
PURPOSE:
The purpose and
aim of "Commissioned: is to promote and
propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ. To provide
training, mentoring, fellowship, encouragement
and counsel beginning in the local church. To
reach its surrounding communities through
concentrated evangelism. To promote the full
gospel message by equipping dedicated young
people. Luke 10:1-3 says: "After these
things the lord appointed other seventy also, and
sent them two and two before his face into every
city and place, whither he himself would come.
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is
great, but the labourers are few: pray ye
therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would
send forth labourers into this harvest!"
After these young people are trained, they will
be sent to those churches requesting assistance
in church growth. Under the supervision and
support of "Commissioned" and the host
pastor these youth will, in turn, provide
concentrated training for the local church to
which they are sent and proceed to promote the
gospel to the communities in which they are
placed.

BACKGROUND
OF
COMMISSIONED
During Youth Camp of 2002 in Friday
morning service, the Lord wondrously began to show this
vision to Bro. Clifton Beecher. What Bro. Beecher did not
know was that God was moving on others in the
congregation also. At the end of the service, the Lord
moved upon Bro. Beecher to call upon certain people to
meet with himself, Bro. Stephen Tolman and Bishop Samuel
Smith (camp speakers). During that meeting, everyone
began to share what the Lord had given them. We were in
wonder that God had given several people a different part
of this vision, it fit together like a puzzle. We then
shared this vision with many of the youth. They were
excited and willing to pray, fast, study the Word and
dedicate themselves for service. "Commissioned"
is the beginning of the vision as shown to this group of
Holy Ghost filled saints. While there may be many set
backs and disappointments, we are determined to begin
this great work. We will utilize dedicated young people
from all of our churches and they will learn soul winning
techniques to teach to youth in other churches.
|
| We humbly ask
that you support your young people when they
speak of this vision. We do not want to miss out
on this great opportunity for the Spirit of God
to move through his people in this millennium. FOR MORE INFORMATION
