GRACE APOSTOLIC CHURCH

WHERE THE WORD REIGNS & THE SON ALWAYS SHINES

Dear Friends,

As a pastor, it is my desire to see you and your family blessed. There is no way that this can be accomplished any better than by attending church. Christian fellowship can enrich any home. It is proven that children who attend Church and Sunday School regularly are less likely to get into trouble. Marriages are made stronger when the husband and wife attend Church together. There is a warmth among family members who pray together and play together.

If you would like to be a part of a growing church, with an earthly ministry and a heavenly future, then visit with us. This is not just another Church with a steeple, but a Church with a heavenly mission.

Membership in this Church is by birth (St. John 3:3-16). This is fulfilled by following the instructions of Peter in Acts 2:38-39, for salvation has come about by the gospel; "founded upon the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the Chief Corner stone" (Ephesians 2:20)

For there is an appointment for all of humanity, called "judgment" (Hebrews 9:27), where the works of all flesh shall be judged (II Corinthians 5:10). The "cursed" shall go into everlasting destruction and the righteous into everlasting Life (Matthew 25:32-34, 41, 46).

The mission of the church in this world is to tell of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to everyone, so each person has the opportunity to make their choice for eternity. We pray that you who read this page will accept Jesus as your personal Savior. My prayer is that the Love of God will speak to your heart and you will accept His salvation.

Rev. Richard Burgett

A LOOK AT

GRACE'S

FIRST FAMILY

Bro. Richard and Sis. Carol were both born in Scottsville, Kentucky. Bro. Richard's grandfather was a minister and served among the General Baptists. Bro. Richard began preaching at the age of thirteen. In 1967, he married Carol Keen and soon was called to serve his country. After his return from service in Viet Nam, he and Sis. Carol were blessed with a daughter, Elizabeth, and a son, Eric. they settled in Scottsville and pastored the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ for 10 years. During those years, Bro. Richard evangelized in many different areas.

That is how he became known to a handful of Arkansans who began to pursue a move of his ministry to Arkansas. With prayerful hearts, they began to prepare a home for Bro. Richard, Sis. Carol, and young Elizabeth and Eric. The Lord provided that this Kentucky family would determine to sell their Kentucky belongings and move to Arkansas with just their clothing and personal things. A mighty step of faith by the Burgetts has grown in the hearts of God's people here as their vision has become reality.
Sister Carol, with her brilliant smile and kind words, guides the ladies in worship and service through a multitude of areas. From the cleaning of the church to the keeping of the finances, Sister Carol is deeply involved in seeing that God's house is cared for properly. At the same time, she remembers to do and say the "little things" that make us all love and appreciate her more than words could say.

Sister Elizabeth has grown up, married Rev. Harold Mauldin, and been blessed with Derik who delights us every one. Rev. Harold and Sis. Liz serve as Youth Ministers to the young people of Grace.

Brother Eric has also recently married and he operates the sound system for Sunday morning services. We appreciate Bro. Eric and his wife, Kori.
